The Bold and The Lyrical — Watch James Corden’s Hilarious Late Night Soap Spoofs!

Late night talk show host James Corden has introduced a recurring soap spoof to THE LATE LATE SHOW called The Bold and The Lyrical which has his guests acting out dramatic scenes made absolutely hilarious because the dialogue is completely made up of song lyrics (and always includes at least one vicious slap across Corden’s face)! But if you’ve never stayed up late enough to watch the hilarious sketches, you can see every single one of them right here!

The Bold and The Lyrical made its debut back in October of 2015 when daytime alums Julianne Moore (Frannie, AS THE WORLD TURNS) and John Stamos (ex-Blackie, GENERAL HOSPITAL) performed in the inaugural installment with dialogue made up completely of Taylor Swift lyrics (well, with a little bit from Adele).

The skit returned in April 2016 for a hilarious lovers quarrel scene “written” by Justin Bieber that saw Salma Hayek Pinault at the center of a seriously awkward love quadrangle as Ray Romano, Gary Oldman, and Corden all fought for her love!

In September of 2016, daytime alum Meg Ryan (Betsy, ATWT) starred in a scene where Corden discovered she was cheating on him with Adam Scott in a hilarious bedroom scene where every word was penned by Beyoncé!

Bryan Cranston’s first job was playing Dean Stella on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in the mid ‘80s, and he lathered up again for the January, 2017, scene where his wedding to Jessica Biel was interrupted by Corden with an assist from Giovanni Ribisi with all dialogue made up completely of Kanye West lyrics!

The most recent episode of The Bold and The Lyrical aired in April of 2017, and featured only the lyrics of Katy Perry songs. The scene saw Corden and Jack McBrayer waking up in bed with Claire Danes after a wild drunken night in Vegas. Then, Christine Baranski, who had roles as Beverly on ANOTHER WORLD and Jewel on ALL MY CHILDREN at the start of her acting career in the mid-‘80s, enters to turn the whole scene upside down and set off some “fireworks!”

MUST SEE: GH’s Maurice Benard and Y&R’s Eric Braeden Meet for Dinner!

The skits are always hilarious, and we love when Corden has daytime alumni in them! Hopefully, it won’t be too long before THE LATE LATE SHOW airs the next one!
