Who’s Ready For The Emmys?

“I’m super excited to celebrate with the cast and crew of GENERAL HOSPITAL,” Laura Wright (Carly) enthuses. And the Lead Actress nominee isn’t the only one. Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), who’s up for the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor, can’t wait to take his wife Kiera out for a fabulous night. “As glamorous as our home life is with our one year-old daughter [Juna], dressing up for an occasion like this is pretty neat.”

According to one of our insiders, soap stars aren’t just happy to dress up and have fun. Not only are they excited that the show will take place in L.A. this year, but it’s shaping up to be a much more professional event than in years past. Something else to look forward to? Word on the street is that Anthony Geary (Luke) will be featured in the show’s opener!

Another source also tells us that the four talented Outstanding Younger Actor nominees — Chad Duell (Michael, GH), Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan, GH), Eddie Alderson (Matthew, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) and Chandler Massey (Will, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) — will be presenting a very important category, which more than makes up for the almost-slight they suffered earlier this month. (Their award, along with the prize for Outstanding Younger Actress, was going to be announced at the untelevised Creative Arts Emmys, but that decision was reversed.) “It should be a lot of fun,” says Duell of tomorrow’s ceremony. “I’m mainly excited to just be around my castmates. Hope GH does well!”

Be sure to tune in to HLN tomorrow, June 23, at 5 p.m. PST and 8 p.m. EST.
