Adam Huss Is the Temporary Nikolas Recast on GENERAL HOSPITAL

Tags:

Don’t panic when you see a new Nikolas on GENERAL HOSPITAL in the Wednesday, Sept. 29 episode! The role is being temporarily recast with Adam Huss replacing Marcus Coloma. Although the details of why the brief recast was necessary are unknown at this time, the actor teased his upcoming appearance on Instagram. “I heard a little rumor that I’ll be on GH this week, getting to play Nikolas Cassadine for a moment!” he wrote. “Tune in Sept. 29th, Wednesday, on ABC for the juicy stuff!

“Got to work with some amazing folks and consummate professionals!” Huss added, naming Maura West (Ava) and Kin Shriner (Scotty), specifically. “Thank you to the best [casting director], Mark Teschner, and his amazing crew.”

GH isn’t Huss’ daytime debut, as he was a day player on DAYS OF OUR LIVES back in 2002, played Lance for a dozen episodes of THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL in 2002, and portrayed Miguel’s imposter on PASSIONS for a few episodes in 2006. Viewers might also recognize the actor from his role of Joshua Kantos on the Starz series POWER, his appearances in shows like NCIS, LAS VEGAS, and EVERWOOD, or movies like Witness Unprotected, Fiancé Killer, and Another Mother.

It may just be a brief appearance as Nikolas on GH, but Huss was touched by the response he received in his Instagram comments. “You all melted my heart with the love and support and enthusiasm,” he responded. “This acting life ain’t always an easy road. So… thank you.”

And who knows — if Huss impresses as Nikolas, after Coloma takes back his role, the soap could perhaps find another part for him to play! In soaps, you never know what might happen next!
