Adam Huss Opens up About Returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL

Fans keep wondering when Nikolas will be back on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but with the character currently in prison after pleading guilty to the charges of holding Esme hostage at Wyndemere, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be back anytime soon. And portrayer Adam Huss reached out to those loyal fans on X/Twitter.

“Hey, kind people,” he wrote. “Thank you for all the shout-outs asking when or if I may return to GH. I, of course, would love to be there. We shall see. Much love and thanks for following me and my other projects!”

Speaking of those other projects, Huss shared a selfie video from the set of his most recent romantic drama that he’s just wrapping to reveal what’s coming up next for him. “Jumping into another one on Tuesday,” he said, “finishing up [the film] Pieces of Lilo. We got four days on that. And then I’m heading to New York to do a horror thriller. I play a really [messed]-up bad guy.”

Huss first played the role of Nikolas Cassadine in September 2021 when he stepped in for portrayer Marcus Coloma for one episode. After returning in November 2022 for a week, Huss then took over again in January 2023 to wrap up Nikolas’ storyline after Coloma left the soap.

But then it was revealed that Ava hadn’t actually killed Nikolas after all, and he was just alive and biding his time before making his presence known again. The problem is that he was a wanted man in Port Charles for keeping Esme prisoner at Wyndemere while she was pregnant with his son.

Laura convinced Nikolas to turn himself in, and he’s currently locked up in Pentonville for his crimes. And as much as fans want Huss back on screen again, the actor has said: “I want to be there, too.” Who knows? Maybe Nik can get released early for good behavior?
