Ashley Jones and Alicia Leigh Willis Star in ‘Saving My Daughter’
Tune in alert! More than six months after daytime grads Ashley Jones (ex-Bridget, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL; ex-Parker, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney, GH) worked alongside one another in filming the Lifetime movie Double Kidnapped, the thriller is finally coming to your television screen! Except now, Jones reports, the movie has a different title!
Jones recently took to Instagram to post a behind-the-scenes photo of her holding the movie’s clapperboard on the set in Peachtree, Georgia. “Anyone remember the Lifetime movie I made last year in Georgia in the height of the pandemic?” she asked. “Well, a name change later, Saving My Daughter airs on April 16!”
The actress, who is an aspiring director, also expressed her gratitude to the movie’s director, Michael Feifer, for allowing her to shadow him during filming. “Thanks for letting me learn from you and ask a million questions,” she wrote.
In addition to Jones and Willis, Emily Skinner from Disney Channel’s ANDI MACK also stars in Saving My Daughter. According to a synopsis for the movie, Joanna’s life was turned upside down when her 3-year-old daughter, Chloe, went missing for six months. When Chloe goes missing again 15 years later, Joanna finds herself wondering if her daughter left on her own accord… or if she was kidnapped yet again by the woman who abducted her all those years before. The movie’s poster gives top billing to Jones (who plays Mandy, presumably the woman behind Chloe’s kidnapping) with Willis (as Joanna) and Skinner (as Chloe) right behind her in the second and third spots.
Willis also teased the upcoming movie on her Instagram, posting a scene shot of Joanna and Chloe on the teen’s graduation day. “Loved working with this superstar!” she raved of Skinner, who appeared in a 2011 episode of DAYS OF OUR LIVES as a classmate of Ciara’s.
Saving My Daughter will premiere on Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime Movie Network, so be sure to set your DVRs!
