Brook Lynn Is Pregnant on GH But Amanda Setton Already Gave Birth!

Brook Lynn is pregnant on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but portrayer Amanda Setton isn’t… at least not anymore! The actress left the soap in August 2020 — temporarily replaced by Briana Lane — in order to go on maternity leave to give birth to her third child.

This meant that when Setton returned to the role of Ned and Lois’ daughter in March 2021, she wasn’t pregnant anymore, even though Brook Lynn is walking around with an enormous baby bump! “It’s definitely a riot, having this huge belly,” the actress joked to Soap Opera Digest, “but thankfully not nearly as heavy as a real one.”

Of course, as all working moms know, balancing a career and family can be a little rough, especially when dealing with a newborn. But Setton was eager to get back to telling Brook Lynn’s story, admitting she was “definitely a bit more nervous than normal given the sleeplessness I’m dealing with right now because of the baby, but was excited for the challenge.”

During Setton’s time away from GH, Brook Lynn — as played by Lane at the time — had a near-fatal encounter with Nelle that left her with a slashed throat and temporarily unable to sing. But she also enjoyed a sexy one-night stand with Valentin Cassadine that saw her exiting Port Charles carrying not just a pregnancy test in her bag but his baby in her belly!

Now that Brook Lynn is back and ready to pop, some fans are concerned that with Maxie also ready to give birth herself, a classic soap opera baby switch could in the making. But then Brook Lynn started acting all cagey when asked who her doctor is and kept trying to change the subject, leading other fans to suspect she’s just faking the pregnancy to con Valentin out of his ELQ shares!

Stay tuned to GH to see how the story unfolds and what’s really going on!
