Chad Duell and Luana Lucci Share a First Look at Their Baby Boy!
Halfway there! Luana Lucci, the girlfriend of GENERAL HOSPITAL star Chad Duell (Michael) is almost 20 weeks into her pregnancy, which is the halfway point of gestation. The couple — expecting their first child in early September — recently got to see their growing son during an ultrasound appointment and the excited mom-to-be shared the video on social media along with a vulnerable message about her pregnancy.
“19 weeks pregnant. Every time we have to do an ultrasound, we get so excited and so anxious at the same time,” Lucci confessed.
The reason, the flight attendant and model explained, is because they found out several weeks ago that her pregnancy is high-risk, meaning that there are some health concerns for either Lucci, the baby, or both. “So seeing him thriving and healthy is so amazing,” she admitted. “We can’t wait to meet him!”
The photos in Lucci’s post included a bump update and a sweet shot of her and Duell hugging in the bedroom of the new home they recently moved into together. She also included two videos of the ultrasound itself in which Baby Boy Duell is moving his hands in front of his face and grabbing his toes. “Wish the ultrasound was better quality so we can see him better,” lamented the glowing mom.
The news that she is considered high-risk came shortly after Lucci made another vulnerable post about her pregnancy. While the Brazilian native had previously had a very active presence on social media, she said that the negativity that has come her way on Instagram ever since she and the GH actor announced that they were expecting a baby has made her take a step back. “The recent hate I have been receiving gave me anxiety and PTSD towards posting,” she shared. “I haven’t looked in my [direct messages] in so long in fear I will see something disgusting and mean. It’s hard to wrap my mind around how adults can bully someone they know nothing about and make assumptions.”
Despite the mean words from strangers that have been directed toward her, Lucci took the high road, encouraging her followers to “be kind” to others.
