For any fans who have not yet read it, Nothing General About It: How Love (and Lithium) Saved Me on and Off General Hospital is out in paperback today, April 13! And to celebrate, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Maurice Benard (Sonny) is going to be hanging out with fans live on his YouTube channel starting at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT!
“Today my book, Nothing General About It, comes out in paperback,” Benard announced in a video he posted to social media. “There’s some writing in it that I’m very proud of. HarperCollins sent me a box full of books and I’m gonna open them at 3 o’clock on YouTube Live. And I’m gonna be reminiscing about life, the pandemic, the book, State of Mind, the new movie I have, GH, my family, my kids… just talking about all kinds of stuff. So YouTube Live — be there or be square!”
In addition to chatting live with fans, Benard will be giving away one signed copy of his book! All you have to do is make sure that you’re subscribed to his State of Mind YouTube channel and you have to be participating in the live chat and commenting to be eligible to win. Good luck!
Nothing General About It was originally published in April 2020 and plenty of fans have already enjoyed Benard’s no-holds-barred look at his life, career, family, and struggle with mental illness. And now that the actor’s memoir is available in paperback, even more fans will be able to read his powerful life story.
