Lifetime has a special holiday gift for soap fans, especially those who fondly remember the glory days of the ‘80s! The network has announced that it will be airing Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas and the film stars a host of famous faces!

The movie features five soap divas who reunite to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running show. And those divas are being played by Donna Mills (Abby, KNOTS LANDING; ex-Madeline, GENERAL HOSPITAL), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen, DALLAS; ex-Priscilla, THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL), Morgan Fairchild (Jordan, FALCON CREST; Sydney, THE CITY; ex-Anjelica, DAYS OF OUR LIVES), Nicollette Sheridan (Paige, KNOTS LANDING; Edie, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES), and Loni Anderson (Jennifer, WKRP IN CINCINNATI).

At the same time, those five divas set aside their differences to play cupid and help bring the show’s producer (played by Travis Burns) and director (played by Taylor Ann Thompson) together. The cast also includes ‘80s heartthrob Christopher Atkins, Patrika Darbo (ex-Nancy, DAYS), and Mills’ real-life daughter, Chloe Mills. And to keep the ‘80s feel, the movie’s theme song is performed by Tiffany!

“The opportunity to bring together Donna, Morgan, Loni, Linda, and Nicollette, five powerhouse women into one holiday movie, has been like finding the perfect gift under the Christmas tree,” executive producer Larry A. Thompson told Deadline.

Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas was filmed earlier this year, and a premiere airdate should be announced sometime in October. So check back here at SoapsInDepth.com and we’ll be sure to update you on when you should tune in. Because this looks like one movie soap fans won’t want to miss!
