Eden McCoy on the End of Josslyn and Dex on GENERAL HOSPITAL
Josslyn and Dex haven’t had the easiest relationship on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and the recent revelation that he was prepared to murder Cyrus on Sonny’s orders has really thrown her for a loop. Joss has never been happy about Dex working for Sonny, but this appears to have been a step too far! Is this really the end for the couple?
“Obviously, Joss knows that he’s killed people before and that he does Shady things for Sonny,” Eden McCoy (Josslyn) explained to Soap Opera Digest. “But I think what’s different about this situation, and what pushes her over the edge, is that it wasn’t like, a self-defense situation. It wasn’t at a shoot-out. He wasn’t protecting Sonny. Cyrus wasn’t doing anything!
“And I think that really scares her, to see him in the light of voluntarily killing someone in their sleep,” she added. “That is very different from like, shooting someone that’s shooting at Sonny. She is just in shock, like she can’t actually believe it.”
Naturally, this also reinforces her dislike of Sonny and Josslyn can point the finger of blame directly at him for giving Dex the order to kill a man lying unconscious in a hospital bed. “I think she is just heartbroken over the fact that Sonny took something else away from her, and she’s heartbroken over the fact that she can’t convince Dex not to have done [what he did],” McCoy declared. “She wants him to be something different. That’s the point, she wants him to have never considered doing that, and she realizes that she can’t.”
Although Josslyn walked out on Dex when she learned this shocking information (thanks, Nina!), will this split be permanent, or might she reconsider her decision after taking some time to think on it? “I think she’s pretty confident that this is a deal-breaker for her,” the actress confided, “and she’s stubborn and she’ll probably stick to that, at least for a time.”
