GENERAL HOSPITAL Is Preempted Today

Don’t worry if you get a sense of deja vu when you check in on the drama in Port Charles on Monday, Sept. 6, because GENERAL HOSPITAL is preempted on Labor Day this year! Instead, ABC will be airing an encore episode that was originally broadcast back on Nov. 18, 2020.

GH may not be reaching too far back into the vaults for a vintage episode, but this is still a good one to watch again as Willow is floored by Chase’s shocking confession, Michael feels terrible for what he did to Sasha, Britt starts working with Jason, and Cyrus threatens Julian and everyone he loves! Oh, and for viewers who prefer seeing Maurice Benard as Sonny, they can enjoy him in his original GH role here! (Those who miss seeing William deVry as Julian Jerome can also see him on screen again, though this isn’t one of the character’s finer moments…)

So you can feel comfortable enjoying your Labor Day off with friends and/or family doing whatever it is you’d like and know that you aren’t going to be missing a single episode of GH by having that fun! The drama will pick up right where it left off on Friday when the next all-new episode of the soap airs on Tuesday, Sept. 7. (Although it’s always a good idea to double-check your DVRs because preemptions and encore episodes sometimes cause them not to record the next show!)
