GENERAL HOSPITAL Is Preempted Today

Don’t be confused if you tune in and feel a sense of deja vu because GENERAL HOSPITAL has been preempted on Wednesday, May 25. “Due to ongoing breaking news coverage,” the soap tweeted, “today’s scheduled episode of GH will air tomorrow.”

Because of the continuing coverage across the country regarding the latest mass shooting tragedy in the United States, regular programming is frequently being interrupted today and so ABC has chosen to bump the Wednesday episode a day and air an encore presentation of GH instead so that no one will miss any of the drama. There’s no reason to worry about GH being preempted in your area and missing out because it’s preempted everywhere for everyone.

This also means that neither Hulu nor ABC.com will have the May 25 episode this evening, so you don’t need to worry about tracking it down. Just tune in on Thursday, May 26 and you’ll get to see Sonny take the stand and Diane show no mercy! (Among all the other dramatic twists and turns the episode contains!) Although be sure to check your DVR to make sure it’s set to record as very often preemptions can create conflicts and errors — we don’t want you to miss a single show!
