Heads up, soap fans — GENERAL HOSPITAL will not be on Tuesday, Oct. 3, or Wednesday, Oct. 4! The soap is being preempted for Major League Baseball. Tuesday and Wednesday will be the first two games of a Wild Card playoff. However, as it is also a best-of-three series, there is also the possibility that GH will be preempted on Thursday, Oct. 5, if a third game is required to determine a winner.
No one likes it when their favorite soaps are preempted for news or sports or… for any reason, really! But at least this is a planned interruption, and it is a national preemption that is affecting everyone. So don’t go looking for GH on ABC.com or Hulu in the evenings because it won’t be there. And don’t worry that you’ve missed any episodes, because you didn’t. (Although if you live in Canada or a time zone where the game doesn’t overlap with GH, you’ll likely be treated to an encore episode of the soap!)
The drama in Port Charles will pick up right where it left off on Monday, although at this point we’re not sure if the action will resume on Thursday or Friday. So keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com because we’ll be sure to let you know the latest schedule changes so you don’t miss a single episode of GH! (And don’t forget to double-check your DVRs because sometimes preemptions can play havoc with scheduled recordings!)
