GENERAL HOSPITAL Preempted Today

Once again, news coverage of the hearings regarding the January 6 attack on the Capitol Building has impacted the daytime schedule. GENERAL HOSPITAL is preempted nationally on Thursday, June 16. “Due to ongoing breaking news coverage, today’s scheduled episode of GH will air tomorrow,” the soap tweeted to fans.

There is a silver lining here, and that’s that it is a national preemption, meaning that no one will see today’s episode until tomorrow. So no one has to go looking for the show on ABC.com or Hulu — it won’t be there.

If the hearings are over by the time GH comes on in your area, you will see an encore episode of an old show, so don’t panic. You’re not missing anything. All you have to do is tune in on Friday, June 17, and the drama will pick up right where it left off on Wednesday! (Although those of you who record it on your DVR to watch later should definitely check your recordings for Friday because these kinds of preemptions can cause them not to record the next episode!)

And of course, you can always check SoapsInDepth.com for the latest updates and schedule changes for your favorite soaps!
