General Hospital Spoilers 12/20/22: Ava Threatens Elizabeth!

Emotions are high in these new GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers! Dex pleads with Josslyn to go after what she wants, tensions grow higher between Nikolas and Spencer, Cody seems remorseful about decisions he’d made, Dante is worried about keeping Port Charles safe, Drew has a new theory about Willow’s family, Carly scrambles to cover her tracks, and Ava confronts her estranged husband’s “mistress!”

Josslyn has been putting up a brave front in the wake of The Hook attacks. But while spending time alone with Dex at Carly’s house, she allows herself to break down in his strong arms. “Stop denying yourself what you really need,” Dex advises Joss. But is Dex talking about acting on the chemistry that has been sizzling between the two of them, or something else?

As his web of deceit begins to spread, Nikolas realizes he needs to bring his son up to speed on his latest lie. Bracing himself for backlash, Nikolas shares some big news with Spencer. “There’s something else you need to know,” he says. Is Spencer about to learn that he and his cousin Cameron are going to share a younger brother or sister? Or is Nikolas going to tell Spencer about the “guest” who has been staying in the tower?

Over at Volonino’s, it sounds like Cody may be reflecting upon the choices he’s made through the years. “One bad decision can change your whole life,” he laments to a friend. Is Cody having second thoughts about the way he acted with Britt? Or could he be having an attack of conscience for denying to Mac that they have a biological connection?

At the hospital, Dante and Mac are working on the PCPD’s investigation into Rory’s death. “Looks like we’ve got a serial killer on our hands,” declares Det. Falconeri. Might the earring Dante found in Rory’s belongings give them a new clue as to who The Hook could be?

After speaking with Alexis about Harmony’s past, Drew realized that the story Denise McKenzie shared with him about Willow’s mother didn’t quite add up. Working on a new theory — namely, that Denise lied to him — Drew calls her to meet him at Charlie’s Pub and demands to know what the woman’s M.O. is. “You’re not leaving here until you tell me why,” Drew insists. Meanwhile, Carly happened to arrive at the bar just as Drew was peppering Denise with questions. Will she have an opportunity to make sure that the woman continues to peddle the story Carly paid her to tell? “I’ll make it worth your while,” Carly promises someone.

Elizabeth may have had good intentions when she (reluctantly!) agreed to help Nikolas hide the fact he was holding a pregnant Esme captive in the tower at Wyndemere. After all, they believed that Esme was The Hook killer. But she never expected that she’d be faking a pregnancy and telling people that she and Nikolas had an affair behind Ava’s back! Well, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and when a very scorned Ava corners Elizabeth in the hospital’s chapel, the claws come out! “I’m sorry,” Liz apologizes. But Mrs. Cassadine wants no part of it! “You will be,” Ava hisses to her husband’s supposed mistress. How far will Ava go to get her revenge?
