General Hospital Spoilers 7/9/21: Maxie Gets a Shock!

These GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers are full of unwelcome surprises! Curtis lashes out at Stella, Jordan asks Molly about their next move, Martin meets with Valentin, Austin goes job hunting, Liz tries to help Finn, Shawn stands up to a prison guard, Carly leaves it up to Jason, and Maxie looks like she’s seen a ghost!

Curtis assumed it was Jordan who had warned Portia off of him, but after talking with Stella, he quickly realizes his aunt was butting into his life once again. “Where the hell do you get off telling her something like that?” Curtis barks.

After Martin arrived with the incriminating recording of Judge Carson, Molly was delighted to have the evidence needed to bring the corrupt racist judge down. “What would you like me to do?” Jordan asks her. Is Molly ready to go after Carson or should she wait for more proof?

Martin has a meeting with Valentin and it becomes very clear why the Cassadine has a bright smile on his face for a change. “You’re talking about Anna Devane,” Martin grins. But can Valentin convince Anna to give him a shot?

Britt is still chief of staff, for the time being, so she’s the one that Austin comes to when he hopes to find work at the hospital. “I’m hoping that doesn’t preclude me getting a job,” the doc smiles. It’s clear Austin has some connection to Port Charles, so putting down roots there means it’s only a matter of time before those secrets are revealed!

Elsewhere in the hospital, Finn continues to struggle with the guilt of pushing Peter down the stairs and covering up his death with Liz’s help. “I’m open to suggestions,” he informs the nurse. But does Liz have any ideas that can help them?

Shawn has been helping Alexis survive her stay behind bars, but when his actions cause him to stand up to a prison guard, he may find himself regretting it! “I can’t let that happen,” Shawn declares, getting up in the guy’s face.

Carly and Jason have been sharing news of their engagement all around Port Charles but as they arrive at the hospital, she’s more than happy to let him take this particular bullet. “I’m going to let you break the happy news,” she teases, playfully poking him in the shoulder. Unfortunately, Jason doesn’t seem to see the humor in any of this.

Maxie has really been struggling to hold it together after giving up her baby girl to Brook Lynn to protect her from Peter. And her fragile house of cards continues to threaten to collapse around her and expose the baby swap, especially when she has an unexpected run-in with a familiar face! “What are you doing in Port Charles?” she gasps.
