GENERAL HOSPITAL Spoilers 11/2/20: A Journey To the Past
These GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers preview a very special episode that no fan will want to miss! Celebrating the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage and the aftermath of the 19th amendment, an all-female cast portray all-new characters as women fighting for their right to vote.
On election day, Josslyn and Trina are transported back in time where they encounter people from the past who have very familiar faces. Like Laura Wright, who plays Beatrice Eckert, the suffragist. (A descendant of Bill and Jenny’s no doubt!) “I want every woman, every citizen, to vote,” Beatrice tells the girls.
At a rally, a woman stands before the crowd urging them to fight. “We will not be denied our rights as citizens!” she shouts. Trina declares, “Women need to have our voices heard.” And a woman portrayed by Maura West insists, “I don’t need a man to speak for me.” And as Beatrice announces to the women that they are going to vote today along with the men, Josslyn realizes, “Voting isn’t just a right. It’s a privilege.”
