Portia and Curtis are smiling as Stella and Marshall help set up for the holiday. “Merry Christmas, everybody,” Trina offers. But with Spencer at her side for the family gathering, will Portia be able to restrain herself and let things stay merry and bright?

Finn is having a hard time celebrating the season with the malpractice suit hanging over him. Even though he now knows that the hospital is on his side, there’s still no guarantee that he’ll come out the other end proven right. “Maybe we’ll get a Christmas miracle,” he suggests to Liz.

Gathered for their own party, Sasha is smiling as Cody is all decked out in a Santa hat. But as she holds a gift-wrapped present, Maxie’s face falls. “It’s… too quiet,” she worries. Are the kids up to something?

Carly continues to find herself getting mixed up with Brennan, but is she getting in over her head? Hume meets again with his boss for updated orders. “What do you want me to do about Anna Devane?” he inquires. Concerned, Sam makes a call to warn: “Dante, be careful.” And on the docks, Anna’s got the file everyone’s after and Dante pushes her down behind a crate as a gunman steps out of the shadows and opens fire!
