GENERAL HOSPITAL Spoilers: The End

Mike has been fading but in these GENERAL HOSPITAL spoilers, it looks as if it’s finally time for his family to say a final goodbye to the father and grandfather they love so dearly. Make sure you have plenty of tissues handy this week!

“Mike is nearing the end,” Carly explains to Michael at home in the kitchen. “He is succumbing to the Alzheimer’s.” And at Turning Woods, Sonny sits vigil at his father’s bedside, wiping away his tears and helping keep him comfortable as Stella watches over them. In the hallway, Sonny breaks down in tears as Jason offers what comfort he can to his best friend.

“I just wish I had more time to give you new memories,” Sonny whispers, his voice cracking. He gives his father a shave, but Mike’s condition continues to worsen and the bad days are outnumbering the good as his time runs short. “Letting go of Mike is the hardest thing for Sonny,” Jason remarks. And as Mike’s family gathers around for a final farewell, Sonny tearfully lets his father go. “I just want you to go in peace,” he says gently. “And go with love.”
