GENERAL HOSPITAL Star Haley Pullos Arrested

Tags:

On May 11, Haley Pullos released a statement saying that she was going to be taking a leave of absence from GENERAL HOSPITAL and that the role of Molly would be recast while she recuperated from a car accident. However, it turns out that there is much more to the story.

Pullos was, in fact, arrested for driving under the influence, according to documents obtained by TMZ. The police report states that the actress was driving on a freeway in Pasadena on April 29 when she swerved, went over the dividing barrier, and into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with another car going about 60 mph.

Judging by the photos that TMZ published of the horrific crash, Pullos is lucky to be alive. The driver of the other car also survived but was hospitalized with serious injuries. After eventually freeing the young woman from her vehicle, firefighters got her into an ambulance so she could be taken to the hospital. There, police placed her under arrest for felony DUI.

GH TJ Molly
Molly’s story will continue, though she’ll look a little different.ABC

Pullos joined the cast of GH back in 2009, when Alexis and Ric’s daughter, Molly, was aged into a teenager. In 2015, she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress for her work on the ABC soap, although in recent years, has been appearing on a recurring basis.

With Molly currently dealing with her diagnosis of endometriosis as she and TJ try to have a baby together, the soap has temporarily recast the role with Holiday Mia Kriegel so that they can continue telling the storyline uninterrupted. However, given the new developments in Pullos’ life, she may not be back to reclaim her role as quickly as some fans may have hoped.
