Please join us in congratulating GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Anthony Montgomery (ex-Andre) on taking home the Best Actor award at the Orlando Urban Film Festival for his performance in the short film The Do Over!

“Thank you again to Marianne Eggleston, Timothy Starks, and everyone else at Orlando Urban Film Festival for voting me Best Actor for our short film The Do Over,” Montgomery shared on Instagram showing of a photo of himself holding the crystal trophy. “My fam writer/director Dakari and his wife, Gena St. Aimee are a fantastic producing force. We’re just getting started.”

In The Do Over, Montgomery plays a mysterious man who returns to a bar to reminisce about the dream girl he once lost. But soon comes to realize the reality of it all was his worst nightmare. The film was also recently honored with Best Narrative Short and Best Director/Short at the Las Vegas Movie Awards.

Best known to science fiction fans as Ensign Travis Mayweather on STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, Montgomery earned legions of soap fans when he joined the cast of GH in November 2015 as Dr. Andre Maddox. He also earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2018 for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Montgomery exited the soap in December 2017 but made additional appearances in 2018, 2019, 2022, and most recently, in April 2023.

Since leaving the soap, the talented actor has enjoyed roles in series like GREENLEAF, ALL THE QUEEN’S MEN, and THE FAMILY BUSINESS while also making guest appearances in shows like MAGNUM P.I. and, B POSITIVE.
