GH’s Easton Rocket Sweda Previews His New Movie The Present!

Ever since he took over the role of Leo on General Hospital, Easton Rocket Sweda has been stealing scenes and winning fans left and right. And for those fans who want to see more of the talented young performer than they do on GH, they should definitely check out his new movie, The Present!

Sweda first announced that he’d been cast in his first feature film back in May 2022, and it’s finally time to unwrap The Present! “Hey, everyone!” he proudly declared on Instagram. “My movie, The Present, is coming out June 18! I had one of the best times of my life filming this movie with Shay Rudolph and Mason Shea Joyce as my siblings. It’s a super-fun magical family film that everyone can watch and enjoy!”

The Present stars Greg Kinnear and Isla Fisher as a couple on the verge of divorce who receive an old broken grandfather clock as a gift that their son — played by Sweda — fixes and discovers has the power to turn back time. So when the parents announce their plans to split up at dinner, their kids band together to rewind over and over again until they find a way to keep them together. This naturally leads to all kinds of wild hijinks as well as some heartfelt drama.

Sweda joined the cast of GH in August 2021 as the newest Leo Quartermaine and received praise for his performances as Olivia’s son was diagnosed with Autism. In real life, Sweda was diagnosed with Autism when he was younger.

Fans and friends have already been flooding Sweda’s Instagram post with comments congratulating him and expressing how much they can’t wait to see the movie, including Enzo De Angelis (ex-Aiden, GH), who wrote: “Looks great, Easton!” The Present will be available on demand and from digital streaming services beginning on Tuesday, June 18, but you can check out the trailer right now!
