GH’s Kelly Thiebaud Reveals How She Changed Her Life

Between winding down her run as GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Britt and working on the ABC primetime drama STATION 19, Daytime Emmy winner Kelly Thiebaud has had a packed schedule lately. But despite her hectic professional life, the GH star has been sure to take some time to focus on self-care recently.

One thing that Thiebaud has done to change her life is to give up alcohol. “It’s been two weeks since I’ve had a drink,” she confessed on Twitter in late October. “Not a big deal for most, I’m sure, but for me it is. I’m interested in what life’s like without alcohol. I’m doing Halloween sober for the first time in I don’t even know how long! Let’s see how much fun sober Kelly can be. Or, how much I can tolerate.”

In a subsequent post, Thiebaud shared that she never expected the outpouring of support she’d received from her followers when she made her sober post. “You’ve given me more focus and motivation to keep going,” she admitted.

Now a few weeks into her sober journey, Thiebaud can’t believe how great she feels. In an inspiring Instagram post, the actress shared a video of her dancing in an open field to the song “Moments” by Kidnap — and shared that she’s made several other changes in her life as she focuses on herself.

“I never know what to say here, but I just wanted to share how good I feel,” she wrote in the caption accompanying her dance. “I’m going through some much-needed changes and damn, I love how I feel. It’s nice to finally see myself put in the work to be better, to go after what I want.”

This new version of herself is a long time coming, she added. “I’ve been stuck for a long time,” she divulged. “Doing life the same way but wanting something different.”

And for her followers out there who feel that they are in a similar situation, Thiebaud offered some advice: “If you’ve been like me, really wanting more from yourself and life, it just takes one step in another direction. One change. Do it every day and be committed to experiencing yourself and life in a new way. Sending you all love.”

We love how carefree Thiebaud looks in her video and wish her well on her journey of self-improvement!
