A fun night out to sing karaoke at Charlie’s Pub set the stage for a potential reunion between Spinelli and Maxie on the Feb. 22 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Knowing that their friends had each rekindled feelings for their ex, Cody decided to play matchmaker. Deciding that the newly implemented karaoke night was the perfect excuse, he convinced Sasha to bring Maxie to Charlie’s for a girl’s night out. Once Maxie and her pal arrived at Charlie’s, Sasha acted surprised to see the guys and suggested they hang out again since they all had so much fun together during their hatchet double date. Stepping over to the bar to get drinks, Cody explained to Sasha that back when they were dating, Spinelli used to serenade Maxie by singing karaoke — and he hoped to send the former couple on a walk down Memory Lane.

As longtime GH viewers will remember, Spinelli often sang karaoke to his Maximista at Jake’s. The couple even celebrated their non-wedding reception with a karaoke party at the former Port Charles watering hole!

Spinelli’s lovely song had the desired effect on Maxie!ABC

The first singers up for karaoke at Charlie’s Pub were Sasha and Cody, who sang “Stand By You,” a beautiful duet. Overcome with memories of his past with Maxie, Spinelli then wanted to leave the bar — but Maxie told him that he couldn’t leave without singing. Somewhat hesitantly, Spinelli stepped up to the stage and serenaded his ex-non-wife with a love song called “It All Comes Down To You” by actor and musician Tyler Blackburn of ROSWELL and PRETTY LITTLE LIARS fame.

After the episode aired, Spinelli’s portrayer, Bradford Anderson, hopped on Instagram to praise his leading lady, Kirsten Storms (Maxie), and those involved in the romantic scene. “A great song by Tyler Blackburn, perfect choice by music supervisor Paul Glass, and a sublime scene partner in Kirsten Storms,” he wrote in an Instagram Story. “So much fun.”

Time will tell if that steamy kiss Maxie and Spinelli shared after his song will lead to a bona fide reunion for Georgie’s parents. But in the meantime, you can re-watch Spinelli serenading his Fair Maximista in the video below!
