GH’s Jacklyn Zeman Celebrates a Special Mother’s Day (EXCLUSIVE)

Tags:

Actress and mom Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie, GENERAL HOSPITAL) is used to being spoiled on Mother’s Day. “My daughters have always made me feel loved and special,” she told Soaps In Depth of Lacey Rose and Cassidy. “When they were young, they would bring me breakfast in bed with roses from our garden on the tray and handmade cards. I have an ‘encore’ chest where I keep all of their cards and letters. They’re my treasures.”

And while the “girls” are all grown up now, they’re still adding to Zeman’s stockpile. “They tell me I am the best mom ever,” she said, grinning. “And they write the reasons why in their cards and letters to me. It is truly the most rewarding and wonderful feeling to be so openly honored, appreciated, and loved. I love my daughters very much, and I am so proud of the kind, strong, generous, open-hearted women they have become. They are beacons of bright light. Shining spirits. I feel such gratitude for these blessings.”

Last year, Zeman also reveled in a new blessing — Cassidy’s tiny bundle of joy, Kennedy, who was born in December. “I love her so much, my heart could burst,” gushed the first-time grandmother. “Kennedy is a strong-willed baby girl and a good communicator. She is very open about what she wants and needs. She loves music and reaching for the sky with arms open wide. And the expressions in her eyes! She has very strong desires and emotions.

“I will say a prayer of thanks to God and the universe for my family,” she added. “I will thank my mother and grandmothers for all they have given and shared with me. I will vow to always be the best mom I can be for my family. And I will always be the best Gramie Jackie I can be for Kennedy. She is a lucky girl, because she has a whole lot of love and TLC coming her way from everyone in our family.”

“I would like to say ‘Happy Mother’s Day!’ to all our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, and friends,” she concludes. “Keep on smiling and sharing and shining!”
