Although GENERAL HOSPITAL has returned to production and the actors are returning to work, things have not gone back to the way they used to be. And Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) told Soaps In Depth her secret for dealing with these months of isolation. “Exercise is important,” she declared. “Especially now, as we are all navigating these unexpected and challenging times. We are physically and emotionally adjusting to our ‘new normal.’
“Exercise benefits the body, mind, and spirit,” she continued. “It reduces stress, and it can be enjoyed privately by going solo for a walk or a run to decompress and rejuvenate. Exercise can also be an opportunity to connect and share time and space with a family member or friend. I am walking and hiking every day — sometimes alone, sometimes on my phone and sometimes with my family or a friend. Fresh air and sunshine will revitalize you. It makes me feel free and strong and happy.”
However, given the state of the world today, the GH vet wants to make sure that everyone stays safe. “Please remember to respect the social-distancing guidelines that we have been given,” Zeman urged. “We are truly all in this together, so we must take good care of ourselves and one another. This ‘stay-at-home’ chapter will be over soon. Until then, my prayers, positive thoughts, and God bless everyone as we move forward.”
