Jacqueline Grace Lopez Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

The weather is cooling down, but things will be heating up in Port Charles when Blaze comes back to GENERAL HOSPITAL! Jacqueline Graze Lopez is reprising the role that she originally debuted back in November 2022 for another storyline.

“In my head, I thought I would probably come back, but as a bit of a stunt cast,” Lopez admitted to Soap Opera Digest. “I thought there would maybe be a scenario where Chase needed to serenade Brook Lynn and needed backup, and I’d show up… I don’t know… singing in a golf cart or something. But it never occurred to me that we would actually explore a continued story for Blaze.”

When Blaze was first introduced, she was another client of sleazy record producer Linc. He wanted her to duet with Chase, and the two made beautiful music together. But following their Nurses Ball performance, Blaze finally outed Linc as a sexual predator and he was arrested.

Lopez has previously appeared in television series like EAST LOS HIGH, and LIGHT AS A FEATHER, and recently had a recurring role as Eva on the CBS primetime adventures drama TRUE LIES. The actress has recently been out with other SAG-AFTRA members on the picket line as the strike continues, but as soaps like GH are covered under a different contract, her returning to play Blaze again isn’t breaking the rules.

Now that Brook Lynn has lost her job at Deception thanks to Tracy, she’s decided to get back into music and has contacted Blaze to see if they can work together. And maybe she’ll go by her real name Alison Rogers now. Keep watching to see how the storyline unfolds! (Hopefully, Linc won’t be involved at all!)
