GH, B&B, and Y&R’s January 22 Episodes Preempted Nationally

As the presidential impeachment trial continues, so do the preemptions of daytime television, including the soaps. THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS and GENERAL HOSPITAL have both confirmed via Twitter that they did not air a new episode on Jan. 22, and THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL was also preempted. Although Y&R tweeted that it will air tomorrow at the regularly scheduled time, GH was more realistic. “We will monitor the news coverage and continue to update our social channels as soon as we know when new episodes will return,” the account posted. “We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”

Fans of DAYS OF OUR LIVES should know, however, that the NBC sudser has been continuing to air new episodes this week as they are doing a series of crucial flashback episodes that are revealing shocking secrets from the time jump. Although NBC is airing news coverage, other cable stations have been airing DAYS during the afternoon, so check your local listings. In addition, fans can catch up on DAYS episodes at the soap’s official website.
