Jophielle Love Reacts to a “Weird” GH Plot Twist!
Typically, Maurice Benard’s YouTube series, State of Mind, is full of serious conversations as GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Sonny peppers his guests with hard-hitting questions about their mental health and troubling times in their lives. And while the recent sit-down between Benard and sweet Jophielle Love (Violet) did cover topics like how she handles having her feelings hurt, the chat was also full of fun and silly moments — like a potential GH plot twist that the young actress declared would be “awkward” and “weird”!
When asked by Benard what her favorite thing is about working on the soap, the charming 9-year-old shared, “I love that I get to see all my peoples.” In return, Benard joked that he knows she loves working with Sonny the most, to which Love affirmed with an enthusiastic head nod. “Oh, yeah, yeah.”
Benard then lobbed a potential storyline curveball at his pint-sized co-star that had Love at a loss for words: How would she feel if it was revealed that Sonny, not Finn, turned out to be Violet’s father? “I would be confused,” Love confessed after taking a moment to think it over. “It would just be weird; it would just be awkward in that moment. And I would be really, really confused.”
Seemingly disappointed, Benard pointed out that his alter ego is “a good guy” and that such plot twists happen all the time in soap operas. “It doesn’t mean that your father wouldn’t be your father; you’d have two fathers,” he told Love. “But Sonny would be your real father.”
But Love wasn’t swayed by Benard’s pretend pitch that Violet be added to the Corinthos clan. “The moment would be awkward,” she insisted while acknowledging that it would certainly make for an interesting storyline. “It would be drama!”
