GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Jophielle Love Sang the Cutest Song for TV Mom Rebecca Budig

Tags:

Fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL fell in love with the adorable Jophielle Love when she was introduced as Finn and Hayden’s daughter, Violet. And while mother and daughter are currently separated on screen due to storyline machinations, in real life, Love not only spends time with her TV mom, she even recorded a very special song for her during a recent visit! “This is my first original song, ‘Walking in the Dark’ that I just made up on the spot to sing to my GH mom Rebecca Budig (Hayden). What do you think?” Love shared on social media. “I’m gonna get my friend Douglas Ladnier to help me polish it off a bit and teach me some ukulele chords and it will be… The Best!”

In the video, Budig gets her phone ready to record and promises Love that she’ll show it to her own real-life daughter, Charlotte. There’s a slight delay at the beginning of the performance as the little girl is wearing rollerblades and starts to take them off before Budig just lifts her up and plops her down on the chair so she can be handed her ukulele and start the show. As Love strums along she sings lyrics about “walking in the dark” and “having a friend with me” and the whole thing is just too cute for words!

Budig’s character left her daughter with Finn as she disappeared from Port Charles fearing her life was in danger and not wanting to put Violet in harm’s way. Hopefully, now that it’s safe, GH will bring Hayden back and if we’re all lucky, Violet can sing her mommy a song like this! Fingers crossed!
