Kassie DePavia Returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL!

ABC Daytime fans are going to enjoy another familiar face in Port Charles as Kassie DePaiva returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Blair Cramer! TV Line is reporting that an ABC rep confirmed that she would begin airing in September.

The character of Blair Cramer first appeared on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in 1991 and was played by Mia Korf until 1993 when DePaiva took over the role. She continued to play the schemer straight through to the end of OLTL’s run on ABC in 2012 and returned in 2013 for the short-lived online revival of the popular soap.

Shortly after OLTL aired its final episode on ABC in 2012, some of the characters crossed over to GH, including Blair’s daughter, Starr Manning, played by Kristen Alderson. When Starr was in a car accident, Blair came to Port Charles to support her and spent some time in Port Charles, meeting and befriending Carly. When last seen on screen, Blair turned down Todd’s marriage proposal, revealing she was engaged to Tomás Delgado.

However, due to the legal battle between Prospect Park and ABC over the rights to the OLTL characters, the three actors who had crossed over were given new roles. Alderson began playing Kiki Jerome, Michael Easton went from playing police detective John McBain to Dr. Silas Clay, and Roger Howarth stopped playing Todd Manning and took over the role of Franco Baldwin.

Franco died in 2021, and Howarth is now playing the role of Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt. And there are no other characters from OLTL currently on the GH canvas. So what brings Blair back to Port Charles? As a former reporter and editor at the local Llanview papers, she could have something to do with Alexis at The Invader. Or as a former nightclub owner, Blair might be coming in to take over running The Savoy. Then again, maybe Blair is Martin’s mysterious ex-wife!
