Kimberly McCullough Shares a Beautiful Memorial for Sonya Eddy

Fans and friends of Sonya Eddy (Epiphany) were heartbroken when the actress passed away on Dec. 19, including her GENERAL HOSPITAL co-stars past and present. Although California has been experiencing severe rain storms, Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin) took advantage of a break in the weather to head to the beach with friends Minae Noji (ex-Kelly) and Kent King (ex-Lainey) to remember their late friend.

“A break in the rain and a gorgeous sunset for our beloved Sonya Eddy,” McCullough shared on Instagram. “Grateful we had some time to celebrate her and the friendship we shared.”

In addition to a photo of Eddy and the selfie the three women took in front of the stunning sunset, McCullough also included a close-up of a rock painted in yellow with Sonya’s name and a small sun.

Despite the sad circumstances, McCullough’s TV mom, Finola Hughes (Anna), commented on the post to say: “Lovely to see you guys together.” 

McCullough’s many years on GH as well as her returns for the annual Nurses Ball and other visits saw her working with Eddy’s scene-stealing head nurse Epiphany Johnson a lot. And as Dr. Kelly Lee and Dr. Lainey Winters, Noji and King also shared many scenes with the popular actress during their time in Port Charles. Plus, all four actresses also worked together in the primetime GH spinoff GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT in 2007.

While ABC has not yet revealed how GH will be paying tribute to Eddy, it’s lovely to know that her friends are honoring her memory in their own personal ways.
