Kirsten Storms’ Go-To Yarn Brand Can Be Found at This Craft Store Fave
Even beginners can get in on the crafting action!
If you follow GENERAL HOSPITAL star Kirsten Storms (Maxie) on Instagram, you already know she loves to knit and is never without a project “on the needles,” as they say. Her latest fab creation? A rainbow sweater for her sister, Gretchen (which just so happens to match the one she made for her six-year-old daughter, Harper) using Landscapes Lion Brand Yarn (From $9.46, Amazon).
“My sister has mentioned to me (numerous times) that she wants a sweater like the rainbow one I made for Harper,” she recently wrote on Instagram. “So I gave in and went to my local JOANN Fabric and found the exact Landscapes Lion Brand Yarn I used. Winning! Now Harper and Aunt Gretchy can match.”
This yarn is what they call “self-striping,” which means it’s easy for even beginner knitters to use to create beautiful striped patterns without constantly switching skeins (a fancy knitters’ term for a ball of yarn!) or needles. Essentially, it’s a great way to make something that looks fancy, but is actually super simple!
It’s also made from 100 percent premium acrylic, so it’s machine-washable (though you’ll want to skip the dryer and lay your masterpiece flat to dry).
