Kristen Alderson Visited GENERAL HOSPITAL

Tags:

The first week of March, Kristen Alderson was back at the GENERAL HOSPITAL studio, though the actress was very quick to inform fans that she wasn’t filming new scenes as Kiki Jerome! No, the actress was just hanging out with BFF — and former ONE LIFE TO LIVE castmate — Brittany Underwood (Langston) and paid a visit to GH executive producer Frank Valentini while she was in town. “Throwback to last week when I made a super-quick trip to visit Brittany Underwood in LA,” she shared on Instagram. “Got to visit my old job and catch up with Frank (my boss of many, many years) and no, I didn’t film anything. Haha!

“I’m so grateful to have Brittany in my life,” she added of her longtime pal. “We managed to squeeze in four days of laughter and good times. Love you!” You can see the photos that Alderson shared from her quick trip to the West coast, including shots with Underwood and Josh Kelly (Cutter, OLTL) by swiping through her Instagram post below!

Alderson became a fan-favorite playing Star Manning on OLTL from 1998 up until the show’s cancelation in 2012. Valentini, who was executive producer of that soap, took over the reins at GH and brought Alderson over as well to reprise the role of Starr. Unfortunately, due to some legal complications over the rights to the OLTL characters, GH created the role of Kiki Jerome for her to begin playing in 2013. After opting to leave the soap in 2015, Alderson was recast with Hayley Erin, who portrayed Kiki until the character’s death in 2019.

While Kiki is currently dead — and Erin has already made a cameo appearance as her ghost — there’s nothing to stop GH from bringing Alderson back as Starr, as numerous fans have pointed out on social media. Sadly, that doesn’t currently seem to be the case, but we can still hope! For more on your favorite GH stars — past and present — keep reading the ABC edition of Soaps in Depth magazine.
