Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey Celebrate a Special Anniversary
August 26 is a very special day for GENERAL HOSPITAL stars and real-life couple Laura Wright (Carly) and Wes Ramsey (Peter) because that is the day that the pair experienced the first spark of a romance that is still going strong today! “Four years ago, this Handsome Fella asked for my number,” the actress shared on their anniversary, using her pet name for her beau.
Ramsey commented on her Instagram post with a series of heart and praying hands emojis and shared his own heartfelt message to his lady love. “What seemed to the outside world as a coincidence of circumstance — running into each other at a party after so many years — I knew instantly in that moment that my life as I knew it was shifting,” he recalled. “When I use words like ‘fate’ or ‘destiny’ or ‘magic,’ I think of that night four years ago this day, those first magnetic sequences, immediately asking for your number, the laughter that began with us right then and I feel so lucky to be alive to share all the moments left with you.”
Wright and Ramsey first met way back in the early 2000s when they played Cassie and Sam, respectively, on CBS sudser GUIDING LIGHT. But it wasn’t until many years later at a party for the 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards that the pair reconnected and found a real bond. They went public with their romance a month later, in May, and have been together ever since. Heck, the GH actors recently welcomed a new puppy into their home, and adorable little pooch they named Kimba.
Please join us in wishing Wright and Ramsey a very happy anniversary, and many more years of happiness to come!
