Laura Wright Shares A GH Secret About Carly and Drew!

The June 20 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL was an emotional one for Carly and Drew, who shared the news with their family members that he would offer himself up to the SEC. Although Carly tried to talk her boyfriend out of making a plea deal, Drew was adamant that he be the one to take the fall, since she had more to lose as Donna’s primary guardian.

Over the course of the episode, Drew and Carly were first seen discussing the case in the hallway of Sonny and Dante and Sam’s apartment building before they went their separate ways: Carly to Sonny’s penthouse and Drew to Sam and Dante’s place. (Which also happens to be his old place from back when he thought he was Jason and was together with Sam, but we won’t get into that.) Later in the episode — after Sam ripped into Drew and asked him to reconsider intentionally leaving Scout’s life — he and Carly reunited for a stroll in the park. Now, Carly’s portrayer, Laura Wright, has pulled back the curtain on that collection of GH scenes!

It started when a viewer named Linda wrote how much enjoyed the “Crew” scenes. “I feel so badly for Carly since I know she blames herself for Drew having to do time even if he chose to sacrifice himself to save Carly from going to jail,” Linda wrote.

Retweeting Linda’s post, Wright shared some backstage secrets about what went into that particular show! “Fun facts,” the actress confessed. “My part in this episode was shot over three different days.”

Furthermore, Wright revealed, she worked on the very same episode weeks apart, since she had a pre-planned vacation with her kids! “One day was when I came back after my two weeks in Mexico,” she added.

So, if you thought that Carly was looking a little tanner in some scenes during that episode than others, your mind was not playing tricks on you!
