Laura Wright Teases a Carly and Drew Romance on GENERAL HOSPITAL
Not all the fans are on board with the potential pairing, but it looks like Carly and Drew on GENERAL HOSPITAL could be getting together in the very near future! Sure, Carly has pooh-poohed suggestions that she and Drew could find romance together, insisting that they’re just good friends, but that could be about to change!’
Laura Wright (Carly) shared a photo of herself with co-star Cameron Mathison (Drew) shot by celebrity photographer Jeremy Fraser where the actors seem to be in character, gazing into each others’ eyes while smiling brightly. The actress captioned the snap with the hashtags “#Crew” (which would be the couple smush name for Carly and Drew) and “#comingsoon.” And, of course, her favorite hashtag when posting about work, “#GHBaby!”
Now, Wright could have just been talking about her and Mathison’s upcoming tour of personal appearances on the East Coast at venues in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut at the end of August (visit CoastalEntertainment.com for details and tickets!) but we’d like to think that Carly and Drew are about to take the plunge!
After Carly’s marriage to Sonny fell apart when he chose to stay with Nina upon his return to Port Charles, Drew has been there to support her as she put her life back together. And although Carly has insisted that Drew is just a very good friend she can rely on, like Jason was, and she doesn’t want to ruin that friendship, there’s no denying that the sparks that have been flying between the two of them!
