Lisa LoCicero Mourns the Death of Her Beloved Father
Please join us in sending love to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Lisa LoCicero, who is mourning the loss of her father. “I’d hoped this moment would never come,” she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post containing photos of her dad taken throughout his lifetime. “The best dad a girl could ever hope for passed away peacefully, as he lived his life… surrounded by the love of his family.
“It still seems unreal that I am finally a member of this sad club,” LoCicero continued. “I’m so old it just felt like I’d go on having a dad forever. As other members of this club have told me, the grief comes in waves, and it’s not what you expect. Time to grow up a little more, even at my age!”
Although her father is no longer around, the actress is grateful for all that he gave her throughout their time together. “Thank you, Dad, for setting the bar high, for protecting me, and always showing us how much we were cherished,” she declared. “I will remember you in healthy, smiling years before time took so many of the things you enjoyed. Death, like all important things, is as common as dirt and yet completely unbelievable. I’ll always have you with me, Dad.”
Fans and friends flooded her comments with love and sympathy for her loss, including some of her GH castmates. “Love you, Ma,” wrote TV son Dominic Zamprogna (Dante). Laura Wright (Carly) assured her pal: “Thinking about you, Lisa. Sending you love and prayers to you and your family.” And Finola Hughes (Anna) expressed: “Sorry for your loss, Lisa. It’s never easy, any of it…”
Our thoughts are with LoCicero and her entire family during this difficult time.
