Marcus Coloma Thanks His GENERAL HOSPITAL Fans
When Oct. 18 rolled around again this year, GENERAL HOSPITAL star Marcus Coloma celebrated his birthday, but this time, the soap’s fans made it extra special for the actor! On Oct. 26, he shared a video to Instagram to thank everyone for their heartfelt birthday wishes! “Alright,” he said into the camera. “I’m back at work and… I came here and I got some presents.”
First, he held up a happy birthday gift bag and looked at the tag on the side to discover it was from Ann and Dave. As the song “You” by Louyah began playing, Coloma was delighted to see a dog sticker sealing closed the envelope and surprised to find that the card turned into a pop-up display of trees and mountains. “Another year, another adventure,” he read, showing it off to the camera.
Knowing Coloma is also a talented musician as well as a talented actor, his fans gifted him a Hallmark Keepsake ornament of Snoopy playing the piano with Woodstock standing on it playing the bass. “This is absolutely freaking amazing,” he enthused. In addition, he also got a Hallmark Mini Lil’ Ukulele ornament featuring Santa Claus in a grass skirt! “How great is that?” he asked.
Finally, the GH actor held up a giant envelope as big as he is and then out of it pulled one of the biggest birthday cards ever! “It’s the biggest card I’ve ever seen in my life!” Coloma explained, holding it up. He then read the inside: “To our favorite charming dark prince! Thank you for making us smile with your amazing Instagram posts! You have blown us away on General Hospital with how you made the role of Nikolas Cassadine your own! Today, we celebrate you, Mr. Coloma. May your day be filled with lots of joy and happiness and may it be as fantastic as you are! Love always, your biggest fans from Marcus Coloma World.”
Coloma discovered just how loyal and devoted soap fans could be when he joined the cast of GH back in October 2019 and just had to show his appreciation for their generosity. “Guys, this is incredibly unique and heartwarming,” Coloma said, clearly touched by the love and support. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” He then showed off his final gift, a copy of The Lyrics by Paul McCartney. “You guys know me too well. I’m super stoked. Thank you very, very, very much. Happy birthday is felt. The love is felt. I love you guys.”
