GH’s Matt Cohen Returns to SUPERNATURAL… to Direct!
After leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL, Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) has been keeping busy, and his latest project has put him back behind the camera as the director of an upcoming episode of SUPERNATURAL! Jim Michaels, one of the show’s executive producers, shared the credits to the fifteenth episode of the fifteenth season that lists Cohen as the director.
Cohen, who among his multiple credits on television appeared as Young John Winchester in multiple episodes of the long-running CW series, revealed his reaction to his new gig in a brief video posted on his Instagram a week earlier. Though it wasn’t clear at the time exactly what he was reacting to. “You wanna know how I feel?” he asks the camera before letting out a loud whoop and panning over to reveal he’s standing outside the SUPERNATURAL stages. “That’s how I feel.”
In addition to his acting, Cohen has branched out to explore directing, helming episodes of COWGIRL UP in 2013 and producing the short film Mama Bear in 2019. His episode of SUPERNATURAL, titled “Gimme Shelter,” is currently scheduled to air on Monday, April 13, but should that change, we’ll be sure to let you know.
