GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Matt Cohen Injured Himself Skipping With His Son!
Ouch! Any fan of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) knows that the actor is in very good shape but on Nov. 16, he revealed that he’d torn his Achilles tendon while playing with his son, Mack! “I wanted to teach my five-year-old how to skip because it’s awesome to skip,” he explained on Twitter. “I go outside, turn and skip once, then twice. I mean, two strides! Then I hear what sounds like a gunshot. That gunshot was my Achilles! I’m going to a sports specialist for my recreational skipping injury!”
That’s certainly going to be an interesting conversation explaining to the doctor that he hurt himself while skipping with his son. At least Cohen is keeping his sense of humor about the whole thing! Hopefully, the injury is nothing too serious and he’s on his feet very soon, a sentiment mirrored by his fans and friends. “So sorry, mate,” Sebastian Roche (ex-Jerry, GH) commented on his Instagram post about the incident.
And Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) shared that he’s been afraid of the same thing happening to him! “Dude!” he posted. “So sorry. Wishing you a quick recovery. That’s why I slowed down on hoop. Fear of that pop.”
Later in the day, Cohen shared a photo of his bandaged ankle with crutches in the background as he gave fans an update. “Sonogram shows a shredded calf muscle,” he reported. “I think it’s been a long time in the making. Hoping my MRI results show my Achilles still somewhat intact. Ain’t no rest for the wicked, though. ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is keeping me focused on bringing you guys awesome new shows! stay tuned.”
We’ll keep you updated on Cohen’s condition as he shares more about his diagnosis and recovery, so keep checking back to SoapsInDepth.com for more!
