Cohen’s post has no caption aside from tagging the official GH Instagram account and a heart emoji. In the video, the actor is sitting in his parked car and says, “Just out here having a little fun. Not a bad day at all.” He then pans down from his face in the rear-view mirror to his lap, where there is a piece of paper that says “GH CREW” on it.
Cohen made his daytime debut in February 2016 when he joined the cast of GH as the priest-turned-doctor, and he had quite the dramatic life in Port Charles before he left all the drama behind in March 2019. Griffin did pop up again in December of that year to consult on a case and visit Ava in Shadybrook, so might the handsome doctor be coming back to Port Charles? With The Hook running around town attacking people and now using poison, perhaps his medical expertise will be needed?
Of course, the fact that his parking sign said “GH CREW” could mean that Cohen is at the GH studio as part of his other job. In addition to acting, he also currently works as a correspondent and co-host for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. So it’s also possible that he was just there with an ET crew to do a story about GH. Cohen has also dabbled in directing, helming some short films and an episode of SUPERNATURAL, so his name could also pop up as the director of a future episode.
That would be a shame for the fans who would really love to see Cohen making another appearance on the soap as Griffin, no matter how brief.
