Matt Cohen’s New Puppy Is the Cutest!

Tags:

There’s a new addition to the Cohen family and boy is he adorable! “Meet Zero!” exclaimed GENERAL HOSPITAL alum Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) on Instagram as he shared a video of the super-cute puppy who has joined him, wife Mandy Musgrave, and son Macklin in the Cohen clan!

In the video, Cohen kneels on the floor with his new dog in just a pair of shorts as he plays around with Zero. The pup looks like a Jack Russell Terrier and so he’s got more than a little bit of energy as he scampers around pawing at his new dad. Zero gets a little playful at one point, nibbling on Cohen’s neck and causing the actor to gently remind: “No biting.” The pup dashes off camera briefly only to return and get a good nip in at Cohen’s ear! The loud “Ow!” sends Zero running around the room and then back to lay down on his belly in front of his owner, who matches his playful pose, earning himself some doggy kisses!

Cohen made a big impression on GH viewers when he debuted as Griffin Monroe in February 2016 and they were disappointed when the actor chose to leave the soap just three years later in March 2019. He did return for a handful of episodes in December of that year, so it’s possible that he could reprise the role again in the future, though he’s keeping quite busy elsewhere. Since leaving daytime, Cohen has starred in the Hallmark movie Holiday Date and has also been working as a correspondent for primetime news magazine ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT.

And, of course, Zero should also prove to keep Cohen mighty busy — Jack Russell Terriers are full of pep! We can’t wait to see even more adorable photos of the new puppy!
