Nancy Lee Grahn Won’t Be on GENERAL HOSPITAL “For a While”

Viewers who have been enjoying the banter between Alexis and Gregory will have to wait a little while to see that particular relationship develop as Nancy Lee Grahn has revealed that she is taking some time off from GENERAL HOSPITAL.

“Was on GH yesterday with my grown women pals Genie Francis (Laura) and Finola Hughes (Anna) and today with my TV prof as I late it with my real-life prof,” she tweeted. “All good. Won’t see me in PC for a while, hope you enjoy, but I’ll be here [on Twitter], Facebook, and trying to figure out Instagram.”

Grahn, who made her debut as Beverly Wilkes on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in 1978 and found Emmy-winning success as Julia Wainwright Capwell on NBC’s SANTA BARBARA in the ‘80s and ‘90s, joined the cast of GH in 1996 as Alexis Davis and picked up multiple Daytime Emmy nominations and another win in 2012.

While the actress didn’t go into any more detail about her time away from the soap, it sounds like she’s just enjoying a little summer vacation with her real-life beau, musician Richard Smith. The role of Alexis was recast temporarily back in April 2022 when Stephanie Erb stepped in for a little while when Grahn was out on medical leave recovering from back surgery.

So hopefully, Grahn enjoys her lakeside vacation and fans can look forward to seeing Alexis back in Port Charles very soon! And obviously, keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for the latest updates!
