Nicholas Chavez Opens up About His Very First GH Nurses Ball

Tags:

The annual GENERAL HOSPITAL Nurses Ball isn’t just fun for the viewers to watch, it’s also a lot of fun for the actors, too! Whether they’re performing on stage or just sitting in the audience, there are always plenty of memorable moments.

Because he joined the cast in 2021 and there was no Nurses Ball in 2022, the 2023 event was the first for Nicholas Chavez (Spencer). “I really, really enjoyed it,” he declared to Soap Opera Digest. “There were so many talented people [performing] and the singers and dancers were so fun to watch.”

Naturally, the snappy number where Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and Tabyana Ali (Trina) performed “The Middle) was a favorite! “I give it a 10 out of 10!” the young actor smiled.

Due to the elaborate production numbers, shooting can drag on and there can be a lot of downtime for the GH actors to hang out with each other. And because so many storylines coincide at the Nurses Ball, it’s an opportunity to spend more time with co-stars with whom they don’t normally share scenes.

“I got to talk with Sofia Mattsson (Sasha), who was really nice,” Chavez revealed. “Frank [Valentini, GH’s executive producer] kind of introduced us because we’ve never really worked together or talked to one another. We talked about traveling because we both have a bit of a travel bug, and she’s having another kid, so we talked about her having another baby in the house. She’s really cool.”

Now, what do we have to do to get Spencer up on stage for next year’s Nurses Ball? “Sprina” fans would love to see Chavez and Ali singing a beautiful duet together!
