Vinessa Antoine Stars in a New Series!
Ever since she left GENERAL HOSPITAL for the starring role in the CBC drama series DIGGSTOWN, Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan) has been working regularly. And now she has an exciting new role, starring in the second season of the CBC series PLAN B!
“Giving my all leading another show,” she enthused on Instagram. “This one. Wow. Great writing. Talented cast. Special story. What a treat. Coming soon…”
Based on the popular French series, now in its fourth season, PLAN B features a different storyline each season, but with the same connecting thread of the mysterious agency called Plan B that can send people back in time.
In season two, Antoine stars as Mia Coleman, a Montreal police officer still hurting from the end of her relationship and missing her ex’s son, who she thought of as her own. Amidst her personal drama, Mia’s life is shattered by a routine intervention in a family crisis that results in tragic consequences. But with the help of Plan B, Mia has the opportunity to change past events in the hopes of creating a better future. But in trying to change a family’s destiny, this officer may discover her own.
Antoine originated the role of Jordan Ashford on GH back in 2014 but chose to exit the ABC soap to star as attorney Marcie Diggs in DIGGSTOWN. Over its four seasons, the drama series earned multiple awards, including some for Antoine’s performance. She recently had a recurring role as Simone in the Netflix series GINNY & GEORGIA and plays Rachel in the upcoming feature film Seven Veils, from writer/director Atom Egoyan.
Season two of PLAN B is just beginning production in Montreal, but given that the first season aired from February to April this year, it’s likely that Antoine’s storyline won’t air until the same time in 2024. And hopefully, as with DIGGSTOWN, there will be a way for American fans to watch her newest Canadian TV series.
