Walt Willey Cast on GENERAL HOSPITAL!

Tags:

A very familiar face is on their way to Port Charles! Walt Willey will be appearing on GENERAL HOSPITAL, and even better, he’ll be playing his beloved ALL MY CHILDREN character of Jackson Montgomery!

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Willey will be doing a stint on GH that will start in July. While details of his run have not been revealed, given that Jack is a lawyer, perhaps he’ll be representing the SEC in the case against Drew and Carly? That would reunite Willey with his former AMC castmate Cameron Mathison (Drew), who played Ryan Lavery for years on the much-missed ABC sudser. And hopefully, he’ll share at least one scene with AMC’s Tad, Michael E. Knight (Martin)!

Willey, who had appeared on soaps like THE EDGE OF NIGHT, ANOTHER WORLD, RYAN’S HOPE, and AS THE WORLD TURNS, found success when he joined the cast of AMC in 1987 as Jackson Montgomery. He played the role right up until the ABC soap’s final episode in 2011, even crossing Jack over to sister soap THE CITY for a handful of episodes in 1996.

Since the end of AMC, Willey has appeared in the streaming soap TAINTED DREAMS as Gregory Ashford, and in episodes of series like THURSTON and GUNSLINGERS as well as movies like CHARACTERz and Butcher the Bakers. The actor is also a talented artist and sells his work in his very own Etsy shop
