Due to coverage of breaking news, the January 16 episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL was interrupted in some markets on the East Coast. During the preemption, ABC executive Nathan Varni took to Twitter to reassure fans. “We are monitoring today’s GH interruption and will update you later today on how you can see today’s episode!” he posted.
Later, after the episode resumed, Varni returned to social media with a further update. “Today’s episode of GH is back on,” he reported. “We’re looking into getting the episode up later tonight, free for all, no sign-in required. Thank you!”
If GH is preempted nationally, the episode will be bumped a day, but since it was only interrupted temporarily in some areas, others were able to see it. Normally a login with your cable provider is required to watch GH episodes on ABC.com, but thankfully, when the show is disrupted like this, they drop that requirement so every fan can see it. Just click here to watch the episode in full and once the episode is uploaded in the evening, you’ll be able to watch the parts you may have missed (or the entire episode if you prefer!) by clicking on that particular link. In addition, GH episodes are also available on Hulu.com.
