A project that has been in the works between former GENERAL HOSPITAL colleagues Kin Shriner (Scott) and William deVry (ex-Julian) for months has taken an exciting step forward!

Back in September, Shriner teased on Twitter/X that he and deVry would be working on a show called COLD & MCCOY once the SAG and WGA strikes were over. While his post promised that details would follow, the actors haven’t shared much about the project… until now! In late March, deVry’s real-life partner, Rebecca Staab (Elizabeth, PORT CHARLES), shared on her Twitter/X and Instagram pages that not only did the group have a production meeting about the show — now renamed COLT & MCQUEEN — but they worked on a demo video as well!

Staab shared a pic of her and her beau on a busy Los Angeles walkway, palm trees in the background and them each wearing dark sunglasses. “Shooting the promo for COLT AND MCQUEEN,” she teased.

Not surprisingly, many of the couple’s followers wanted to know when and where they could watch the show, leading deVry to share an update on his own Twitter/X account. “Hi everyone. We are doing some test shots,” he revealed. “Still in [the] casting process.”

According to IMDb, Shriner plays Mickey McQueen and deVry is Mitch Colt, two former LAPD detectives. Looking to reverse their dishonorable discharges and rebuild their lives, the guys agree to assist the outgoing chief in solving cold cases for cash… and a potential reinstatement to the force. As evidenced by the long leather jacket she’s wearing in the photo she shared, Staab’s character is named Leather Jacket.

As deVry went on to explain, COLT & MCQUEEN is still in the early stages and does not have a home… just yet. “This is what we call a spec pilot,” he noted, indicating that they might independently produce the show. “We may or may not put it on YouTube. What started as a ‘friends making a home movie’ has morphed into something more complicated. In a good way. Stay tuned.”

We wish deVry, Staab, and Shriner the best of luck in getting their new project off the ground, and keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for future updates!
