Zakary Risinger Is the New Danny on GENERAL HOSPITAL

Please join us in welcoming Zakary Risinger to the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as the newly-recast Danny Morgan! The young actor made his debut in the Nov. 24 episode as Danny joined his mother and sister — and Dante and Rocco — to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade from the balcony.

“Excited to finally be able to share that Zakary has joyfully accepted the recurring role of Danny Morgan on GH airing today!” his proud parents shared on Instagram when their son made his daytime debut. “We are so grateful. Big thank you to his team at The Obsrink Agency, Emily Urbani, Tiffany Treibel, Abby Johnson, Brave Artists Management, and [GH casting director] Mark Teschner for believing in our hard-working kid!”

Risinger started his career as a baby back in 2009, and has appeared in series like CSI: CYBER, GREY’S ANATOMY, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE,  ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, THE MORNING SHOW, FOR ALL MANKIND, and NCIS. In this past year, Risinger could be seen playing Tommy in the Amazon series THEM and will be seen in the upcoming film Scarlett, which is now in post-production.

After a series of twins who played Danny as an infant and toddler, TK Weaver was the first young actor to take on the role solo, debuting in May 2016. In 2019, Danny was recast with Porter Fasullo, who was last seen in the role in April 2021 when Danny visited his father in the hospital.

Sadly, with Jason now missing and presumed dead, Danny will have a rough time of it. Although his father has been dead before and got better, so who knows how Danny might react as he adjusts to his new normal? You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
